Halloween is just around the corner, and Los Angeles is ready to bring on the spooky festivities. Sure, you could spend Fright Night streaming scary movies or organizing Halloween activities for the kids at home, but we recommend checking out one (or more!) of the many fun things to do out on the town. Whether you’re looking for a terrifying haunted house, a family-friendly jack-o-lantern display or a drive-through scream fest, we’ve got you covered with the best Halloween events in Los Angeles for 2022. You can watch scary movies any time of year, but it’s only during the Halloween season that you can live them.

Knott’s Scary Farm
Explore Hollywood Forever in the moonlight and learn about several forgotten stars from the past. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own flashlights, but there will be extras on hand. On Halloween Night, the museum is hosting a fun-filled Open Air Museum Experience from 6pm to 10pm. The hangar doors will remain open and there will be an outdoor pop-up food patio and bar. This walking tour with ExperienceFirst dives into the darker side of Hollywood that true crime lovers would love. The tour will take you through some of Hollywood’s most notorious historic sites as your guide regales you with creepy tales. The Walt Disney Concert Hall holds a showing of a horror film classic accompanied by organ on Halloween night and this year they’re showing the 1925 silent film version of The Phantom of the Opera. The film will be accompanied by the concert hall’s monster pipe organ, played by Clark Wilson, one of the most prominent organ virtuosos and conservators. The concert starts at 8 p.m., so there’s time to grab an early pre-show dinner.
Everyone is invited to wear family friendly costumes during this event. Islands is providing Kids Free Meal certificates each day of Scarium to the first 200 children in costume as they enter the Aquarium. Taking place at Bonelli Regional Park in San Dimas, the immersive experience begins with a drive-through creepy All Hallows Lane. The main event at the "Midnight Drive-In Theater" is a multimedia story displayed on a 40-foot screen, along with horrifying sets and characters from Midnight Falls that surround the theater and bring the story to life. The Mayhem Museum is the first of the four haunted attractions at the House of Horror Haunted Carnival.
